Dr. Laura N. Rabe is the founder and owner of Dallas Periodontics and Dental Implants. Her passion for patient care and special love of periodontics inspired her to open a practice in her home town. Throughout her career, Dr. Rabe has focused on personalized, patient centered approaches to treatment. She is recognized for her commitment to clinical excellence, high- quality results, and innovative solutions to periodontal and dental diseases.

Academic pursuits & specialization

Dr. Laura N. Rabe has dedicated her career to the pursuit of oral health and the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal and implant diseases. Following her passion for dentistry, she enrolled in The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHSC) and graduated top of her class with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). During her studies, she discovered a keen interest in periodontology – the field of dentistry dedicated to the health of the gums and supporting structures. Thereafter, she pursued advanced education, including a Master of Science (MS), and training in the specialty of periodontics and dental implant surgery.

Dr. Rabe is an alum of The University of Texas at Austin (Bachelor of Science) and Highland Park High School, here in Dallas, Texas.

Professional contributions and accomplishments

Dr. Rabe is honored to be selected again as a D Magazine Best Dentist in Dallas. She was personally nominated by peers and colleagues in the community.

Dr. Rabe’s commitment to patient care and continuous pursuit of excellence in periodontal treatments has earned her a distinguished reputation among dental associates and patients alike. Her numerous awards and notable contributions include:

She has advocated for her specialty through leadership, research and participation in organized dentistry. At the Academy of Osseointegration, she was awarded first place in Best Oral Scientific Research for her investigation in dental implantology. She was also selected to present at the Southwest Society of Periodontists John F. Prichard Prize for Graduate Research Competition. Dr. Rabe has lectured both locally and internationally on vertical bone ridge augmentation, osteotomy preparation, dental implant surgery, and soft tissue grafting. She hopes to embark on future research to improve patient outcomes and develop new techniques for minimally invasive surgery.

ADVANCEMENTS IN PERIODONTAL TREATMENT

Dr. Rabe is proficient in dental surgical regeneration, dental implant placement, bone grafting, soft tissue grafting, laser procedures and the management of chronic and aggressive periodontal diseases.

She received advanced training in the areas of minimally invasive surgery and dental implantology.

Dr. Rabe is also certified in sedation dentistry and provides oral and intravenous conscious sedation to improve patient comfort during appointments.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Dr. Rabe is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Texas Dental Association, (TDA), the Dallas County Dental Society (DCDS), the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), the Southwest Society of Periodontists (SWSP), the Western Society of Periodontology (WSP) and the Academy of Osseointegration (AO).

She serves on various committees within these organizations to help advance and support the fields of both dentistry and periodontics.

PERSONAL LIFE OUTSIDE OF DENTISTRY

Dr. Rabe was born in Dallas, Texas and is excited to be practicing periodontics in her home town. She currently lives in East Dallas with her husband, Kevin, two daughters, and their golden retriever. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, walking in the neighborhood, and traveling to beach or hiking destinations.

Her future ambitions are to improve oral health awareness through public health initiatives. By improving oral health beyond the confines of the dental office, she hopes to make a lasting impact on the larger community.
